31st of July 2018, we arrived on Padang, Indonesia. Along with excitement and nervousness we set out to see the beauty of Padang, Indonesia.
But before anything else, let me first introduce you to our receiving university: Universitas Negeri Padang or also known as Padang State University.
Padang State University is one of the oldest universities in Indonesia. First established as a Teacher Education College in Batusangkar, West Sumatra, Indonesia on September 1, 1954.
In its development, UNP has focused consistently on its main mission in temporary education while also giving birth to other professional fields. UNP is ready to set its vision to become a leading university based on devotion to God Almighty, competing globally in various fields of education, knowledge, technology, sports, language and arts in Southeast Asia until 2020 and supported by staff who have various skills. UNP aims to do as a superior center in various fields of education, knowledge, technology, sports, language and art.
Like every institution, Universitas Negeri Padang also has its own vision and mission.
Vision
Being one of the leading universities in the Southeast Asia region in the fields of education, science, technology, sports and art in 2020 based on devotion to God Almighty.

Now that I have introduced my receiving university, let me now introduce my Host University: SMA Pembangunan or also known as UNP Laboratory Senior High School.
I was assigned to SMA Pembangunan for my practice teaching. This is the Senior High School of Universitas Negeri Padang.
Vision
The realization of graduates who are intelligent, noble, faithful and devoted and environmentally sound.
Mission
Improve achievement with an objective assessment - authentic to be able to compete to continue their education to a higher level with additional learning in the form of remedial teaching and enrichment.
SMA Pembangunan School Facilities
Each classroom also contains an LCD Projector
There are only 30-40 students inside each classroom. This will be easier for teachers to handle and facilitate.
I can say that SMA Pembangunan is one of the best Senior High Schools that I have been to. And being assigned here is a great privilege and at the same time a great opportunity to hone my skills in teaching. And I look forward in teaching here and also learning here.
